Finding Business Grants Tip #9
Search expired business grants

Finding grants that have already passed their deadline dates can still be valuable. Why? Because most often the grants are a yearly award given out. So that grant you hunted down online that had a deadline of last year could have a new one for this year. If you find an expired grant you would like to apply for, write or email the address given and request information on any current grant opportunities being awarded. You could find that there is a new one, and if you are fortunate, it might not have been advertised heavily enough to have many applicants for that business grant.

So next time you find a business grant you think you are well qualified for, don't hesistate to request information on new ones because you could find yourself the fortunate recipient of one that not many people knew about.

That said, don't spend a lot of time searching specifically for those business grants with passed deadlines. But if you do come across one in your search, spend the extra minute to follow up on it to see if there is a current one being offered. You never know!
