Finding Business Grants Tip #10
Check industry specific associations and organizations

Many types of businesses have multiple business associations and organizations specifically for business owners in that particular business. And they often have their own business grants or publish information on grants specifically for that business area. So your soap making association could have information on grants available to those who are starting their own homemade soap businesses. The same applies to any business association or organization for business owners of your particular type of business.

Not one for your specific business type? Try going to a broader organization. If you do soap, you could join a general crafts business group and get relevant business grant information. You can ask other business owners with similar businesses (but not competition!) for their input into what business organizations you should join. And you will also benefit much beyond business grant information, so the rewards are double.
