Finding Business Grants Tip #6
Ask your banker

Sometimes it is the most obvious person to ask, but your banker can be pretty valuable when it comes to getting information on business grants. Why? Because if they have other clients who have been awarded business grants, they can also point you in the direction of those grants as well. One business owner managed to get a $10,000 business grant simply because her banker knew the person who had been awarded the same grant two years earlier. So don't assume your banker will not know anything about where to find a business grant - if that woman hadn't asked, she wouldn't have even known about the business grant she eventually was awarded.

Bottom line, don't forget to think about those who deal in finances to ask if they have any leads on business grants.
