Top ten tips for getting your business grant application accepted
BONUS Tip # 15 - How your business benefits others

Does your business help the community or economy in any way? Often, grants are awarded not only own your own merits and experience but also in how others would benefit from you receiving the grant as well.

If you live in a city or state with a high rate of unemployment with low employment opportunities, stress how many jobs your new business will create.

Does your city lack something that most other cities have, such as a dance studio, print shop or even a movie theater? Show how your business will enhance the community or provide something that other cities siply take for granted that they already have.

If you are getting a business grant to open a day care or child care facility, focus on how you will be creating multiple child care openings in a city where wait lists for child care can be two years long.

And as an added bonus to this approach, you are also showing just how needed your business is to the community, whether it is through jobs, services or even something as simple as allowing twenty mothers to return to the workforce because they will have a spot for their child to be looked after for the day.
