Women's Business Grants - Women's Financial Fund

Ten things that will get your grant application denied
Tip # 6- Not being specific enough

Just saying you are going to use to money to "start your business" or to "grow your business" isn't good enough. They are going to want to know exactly what you are doing with the grant money, if you receive it. So instead of merely saying you would use the money to start your business, instead be more specific such as the grant money would be used to purchase software and computers, or for training employees, or for whatever specifically you would plan to use the money for. When you fail to do this, grant committees will not be as confident of your application as they would be others which go into detail about how the money would be used.
