Women's Business Grants - Women's Financial Fund

Eight tips for crafting the perfect grant application cover letter
Tip # 7 - Check your spelling and grammar

Yes, use your spell check and grammar check. We have all had moments where we write something and fire it off before doing a spelling and grammar check, only to discover a really bad typo in the final version everyone received. So make sure you do spell check!

If you used any industry specific words that aren't in the dictionary, double check it to make sure you spelled them allcorrectly - this is especially crucial if you are applying for an industry specific business grant because it will be that much more obvious, and will definitely convey a question to the grant committee about why you wouldn't know how to spell an industry standard word correctly.
