Eight tips for crafting the perfect grant application cover letter
Tip # 3 - Don't ignore the requirements or guidelines

If the grant application asks for a handwritten cover letter, make sure you handwrite it and not send a typed one "because it looks better", because there is a reason they do that - and one of the reasons might be to see how well you follow the rules!

So before you mail it off, make sure your cover letter (and the rest of your application,too) includes all the information the application requires. Your failure to follow the given requirements and guidelines will definitely make your applications stand out... and not standout in the way you would like it to!
