Women's Business Grants - Women's Financial Fund

Eight tips for crafting the perfect grant application cover letter
Tip # 1 - Don't send the same cover letter for each grant application

Sure, it might be easy to just do a generic cover letter for every grant application you make, but trust me, it will definitely be apparent to the grant offering committee when they read it. Take the time to include specifics about each particular grant you are applying for, so that it is obvious you wrote it just for them.

Yes, you can send similar cover letters for each grant, and just change some of the details. But if you do this, double check and then go back and triple check that everything was changed and is correct before mailing it off. Nothing will get your application into the decline pile faster than when it is obvious the same letter was sent with another grant application.
